The dive team onboard the Dive Support Vessel "SMIT SIYANDA" performing routine maintenance at the SBM south of Durban spotted two plastic containers in the water with nylon rope attached to it, upon closer investigation they found a turtle entangled in the nylon rope from a section of gill net, the turtle was brought onboard the RIB and freed from the nylon ropes before letting it free.
Well done guys !!!
I congratulate all staff who participated in the rescue turtle, if all humans were concerned about the environment and the animals, we would be free of many problems.
